A man allegedly raped her 14-year-old niece on Sunday. The victim is the daughter of a labourer. On her complaint, a case has been registered and the accused has been arrested.
Sources said that the girl was in the city to attend a marriage function. "When she was enjoying the function at a house in Mohalla Santpura on Sunday night, Baljit Singh, a Santpura resident, who is also the uncle of victim, asked her to accompany him stating that her parents were calling her, sources said.

Baljit Singh then took her to an abandoned plot and raped her.

"The girl reported the matter to her grandparents. On Monday, she came to police station along with her parents and registered a complaint. "
