The police also recovered 10 gm of heroin from the possession of Sunny. The police have also registered a separate case against Sunny for possessing narcotics.
The case was registered following the statement of Satnam Singh, father of Gurmeet Singh.
Satnam alleged that the accused had adulterated the smack which he had sold to his son so that he could mint more money by increasing the quantity of narcotics.
Inspector Gurpreet Singh, station house officer of Division No. 2 police station, said the police arrested the accused from Sufiyan Bagh Chowk on Monday evening. The accused, Sunny, admitted that he procured narcotics from a man who used to come to the area to deliver it, but he did not know his name.
The complainant Satnam Singh said his son procured narcotics from Sunny. He was aware of it and had requested the latter not to sell narcotics to his son. Instead of accepting the pleas, the accused started threatening him.
"The police formed several teams for to arrest the accused. Eventually, we arrested him from Sufiyan Bagh Chowk following a tip-off. The accused admitted that he was supplying drugs from the past three years but was never caught," the inspector said.
"We will also send narcotic samples recovered from the room where the bodies were lying to the forensic science lab for chemical examination," he added.
