A woman squadron leader of the IAF, Anandita Das, 29, has reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence at Jodhpur Air Force Station, 340 km from Jaipur, in Rajasthan. Her husband, squadron leader Vishak Nair, found her body in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to primary investigation, the couple had a heated argument over chatting on Facebook on Tuesday night. Subsequently, Das and Nair went to separate rooms to sleep, the police said.

The IAF has ordered a probe. No suicide note has been found so far. Das was commissioned into the IAF in 2006 and was married to Nair in 2008.
