Actor Sanjay Dutt found himself in an ironical tangle when he was photographed chewing tobacco at an event for cancer prevention.

The 53-year old actor was on-stage with his wife and sisters at the Mumbai event organised by Nargis Dutt Memorial Trust, in the memory of his late mother, Nargis Dutt, who died of cancer. Shutterbugs went into a tizzy as they noticed him   opening what seemed like a satchel of Gutka or paan masala and chewing the contents several times during the event.

Soon the photos (left) found their way online and and Twitterati went agog with comments on the irony. A tweet by @mihirfadnavis read: “Munnabhai bane ironic,” @Against_Pseudos posted, “Bollywood idiots!!” and @DeepXP wrote: “Haha Poor Sanjay Dutt.”
Dutt refused to comment, when asked about the faux pas later.
