In an effort to show concern for the prisoners, a medical camp was organised at the central jail here on Tuesday. A team of 10 doctors conducted various tests over 680 jail inmates in the presence of additional director general of police (jails) RP Meena. Meena, who was on a visit, said that in order to provide better health facilities to jail inmates, various medical camps would be conducted in the future.

He further said Punjab government was making sternous efforts to provide inmates with better healthcare. Meena spent most of the time talking to the inmates, inquiring about their problems.
