A girl studying in UKG was allegedly raped by a class 6 student of the same school while returning home in Faridabad. The shocking incident came to light on Tuesday when the mother of the girl went to a Faridabad government hospital to get her medically examined.

The hospital brought the case to the police's attention, after which the medical examination was conducted under the supervision of the SHO of the area. Rape was confirmed, after which the cops have launched a search for the accused student.

The victim, aged eight, is a resident of Palla and studies in a private school in the same area. On Saturday, the girl and his brother had gone to school. The brother left for home earlier. When the girl was on her way back, the accused, aged 11, enticed her and took her to some nearby bushes, where he raped her and then fled. The accused is also a resident of Palla.
