The Indian wrestling contingent finished with a rich-medal haul, including 9 golds and four bronze in the recently concluded Copa Brasil-2012 tournament held in Rio from November 29 to December 2. In the freestyle event, gold medals were won by Sandeep Tomar in 55kg category, Rajneesh (60kg), Manoj Kumar (66kg), Deepak (74kg), Somveer (84kg), Parvesh Kumar (96kg) and Hitesh (120kg).

Ravinder Singh (60kg) and Manoj Kumar (84kg) also won yellow metal in the Greco-Roman style in the tournament.

Manoj (55kg), Deepak (66kg), Bhim Singh (96kg) and Dharmendra Dalal (120kg) won bronze medal in the Greco Roman style category.
