The Delhi high court has asked all the trial court judges in the capital to expeditiously dispose of all pending gangrape cases. They judges have also been asked to send a compliance report to the high court's registrar general every quarter. A circular issued by the registrar general and sent to all the district and sessions judges said, “...judicial officers dealing with gangrape cases be directed to fast track disposal of such cases.”

The circular signed by the deputy registrar also directed the judicial officers to specify in the compliance report the time taken in disposing of the case.
