“I did not expect this kind of immediate success for the song because I never want to set myself up for disappointment. I’m still so excited about the fact that four albums in, we’re just now having our most successful single,” she says. The singer also goes on to explain the choice of title for this album.
“When I started thinking about all of the emotions I wrote on for this album; the intense emotions — love, infatuation, anger, loneliness or sadness — all of these are kind of defined as red emotions. It made sense to me that those are the topics covered in this album,” she says.
Taylor has been consistent with her releases ever since she came on the scene in 2006. With a new record every two years, the 22-year-old country singer effortlessly filled the gap that was earlier occupied by artistes such as Shania Twain (known for her country-pop style and impressive stage presence).
Meanwhile, she also plans to go on a tour to promote the album. “I hope it will be better and bigger than last year,” she says.
