In yet another instance of crime against women in Haryana, a minor girl from a Karnal village was allegedly raped by a fellow villager.
A police spokesperson said on Friday that the 15-year-old girl from Taprana went to school on Thursday but did not return home. She was reported missing by her uncle on Friday.

Acting promptly on the complaint, the police rescued the girl from Karnal and arrested Vinod Kumar of the same village, when she accused him of abducting and raping her during a counseling session.

The spokesperson said the medical examination of the girl was done at the Kalpana Chawla government medical college in the evening.

The victim and the accused would be produced in the court on Saturday.
