World champion Viswanathan Anand played out a draw with Judit Polgar of Hungary to go out of contention in the London Chess Classic, now in progress here. Having lost a game through a blunder in the previous round, Anand was apparently satisfied with the result as Polgar also played it safe after showing early aggression.
    
Abbasi demands inquiry
Islamabad: Accusing some people of "punishing" his son for scoring runs against India, Iftikhar Abbasi, the father of Pakistan Blind Cricket Team captain Zeeshan Abbasi demanded a government inquiry. He said that he was not happy so far with the way that the Indian government had reacted to the incident.

Ghoprade wins at Sepang
New Delhi: Nineteen-year-old Parth Ghorpade took his third overall win of the Formula Pilota China season at the series’ final round in Sepang, Malaysia and also took the honours for the top rated Asian driver. Ghorpade made his single-seat debut last season.
