According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, the city recorded 0.6 mm rainfall on Tuesday. Explaining the fall in temperature, Surender Paul, director, IMD, Chandigarh, said, "The temperature has fallen due to clouds and rainfall."
Predicting the weather ahead, he said, "For the next two days, the weather will remain same. After light rainfall at isolated places in the region for the next few days, the sky will get clear. But by December 17, dense fog cover will start enveloping the region during early mornings and nights."
Meanwhile, due to cloudy conditions, the night temperature was recorded two degrees above normal at 11.8 degree Celsius.
