This new face of terrorism has become a matter of concern for the central and military intelligence agencies in border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
Requesting anonymity, a senior army officer, while confirming the cyber training to girls, said that it was worrisome as these girls could be pushed to this side of border after arranging their marriages in J&K.
"In the past few months some militants, along with their Pakistani wives, have entered the country. These security agencies are not being given permission to quiz the women," said the officer.
According to reliable intelligence sources, more than 80 girls in the age group of 17 and 23 are being trained by the ISI in Pakistasn-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in handling grenades , small weapons, explosives , sabotage activities etc.
The task to select these girls was given by the ISI bosses to a Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) commander identified as Mujeed-ul-Rehman in July 2012. After visiting various camps of Muhajirs (those who have migrated to PoK from J&K), Rehman reportedly selected about 20 girls who were graduate. After their basic training in arms handling, they are currently under training in advance cyber networking reportedly in Sohini Nullha training camp in Kotli area in PoK.
About two years ago, the J&K Police had arrested Asiya Malik, wife of havildar Sajjad of 129 unit of Pakistan army. During her interrogation and in a recorded statement, she had revealed to the intelligence agencies that she was trained by the ISI in militancy-related activities and about 80 such girls were also getting training in the camps being run and financed by the ISI.
