Panic prevailed at a local marriage resort, after three unidentified people allegedly opened fire at an NRI on Jalandhar road on Thursday. Earlier in the day, the NRI's car had hit another vehicle belonging to the assailants.
Batala to attend the wedding of his nephew. When they were on way to the marriage resort, their car hit a Tata Innova after which, the three occupants of the Innova started misbehaving with him. But the matter was resolved after he paid for damage.

After two hours, when he was attending the wedding, the three accused allegedly tried to snatch the keys of his car from the driver and when he interfered, one of them pulled out a revolver and opened fire at him but luckily, he escaped unhurt.

As people attending the wedding rushed outside hearing the gunshot, the accused fled the spot. Getting information, the civil lines police registered a case.
