Robbers slash man’s tongue
A 40-year-old car salesman’s tongue was slashed by robbers in east Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar on Tuesday night.
Madan Lal was returning to his home in Trilokpuri when a man accosted him around 9pm near the Dharamshila hospital and asked him for a matchbox. “As soon as Lal stopped, several others emerged and overpowered him. They took him to a nearby jungle and asked him for his cash and valuables.
Lal was carrying R7,000, his salary, with him. He refused to hand over the cash to them. This enraged the assailants and they slashed his tongue," said an officer.
