According to the Weatherman, the high minimum temperature was because of an overcast sky overnight. The coming days, however, are expected to be colder.
The minimum temperatures are expected to fall below the 10-degree mark from Sunday onwards.
“While it was not very cold on Friday morning, the icy cold winds that blew throughout the day made it chilly. The winter is a little delayed this year but keeping in mind the snowfall in the hills, I am sure the cold will hit us by next week,” said RK Tyagi, a resident of Saket.
“The maximum and minimum temperatures on Saturday are expected to be 24 degrees and 10 degrees Celsius. The sky is expected to be partly cloudy in the morning but will open up towards the afternoon. Shallow fog is also expected in the morning,” said a Met official. The fog is expected to be thicker at the airport with the Met officials expecting the visibility to reduce to 500 meters on early Saturday morning.
