Karachi came to a standstill on Saturday as the Muttahida Qaumi Movement protested against the decision of the Supreme Court to start contempt proceedings against its leader, Altaf Hussain.

The Supreme Court ordered contempt proceedings against Altaf Hussain after a speech he made a week ago in which he accused certain judges of passing unconstitutional remarks against his party.
