“Skyfall” producer Paul Epworth revealed that singer Adele recorded her vocals for the film’s theme song in just ten minutes. Epworth said that the Grammy award-winning singer immediately loved the track, and had the lyrics ready in her head when she drove over to the studio.

“Within 10 minutes, she put down most of the vocals. It was the most absurd thing. She’s fast, but it was really quite phenomenal,” said Epworth.

The producer also said that he was surprised by Adele’s sultry delivery in the song's opening bars.

“She never really mentioned she could sing the Shirley Bassey-esque slurs that she does in the opening.”
