You look very happy. Is it the new show or developments in your personal life?Everything. I’m glad to be working in Gutur Gu and also happy to have Rohit (Reddy) in my life. Do we hear wedding bells soon?Yes, we will get married by next year-end, though the date isn’t fixed yet. Both families are still discussing the details. As he’s a south Indian, we will go for a wedding in Tirupati. It will be a low-key affair with close family and friends. What do you love about Rohit? Everything (smiles). He’s got the cutest dimples and a six-pack. He’s a genuine, honest guy. I am hyperactive, while he’s chilled out, sorted, and the more understanding of the two. He’s very supportive. He works with a multinational company and is obviously not from the industry. We have been dating for over two years and felt we were ready for marriage now.
From all the offers you got, why did you choose Gutur Gu?Most of them were repeats of what I had already done. Gutur Gu is a silent comedy, which I had never done.
I wanted to do something out of the box. It’s exciting, tough and fun. Dialogues are very important for actors and to emote without them took some getting used to. It’s giving me scope to learn a lot. Also, I have to shoot only 10 days a month, so I can focus on planning my wedding.
Considering your closeness to Ekta Kapoor, one would assume you would make a comeback with one of her shows? My equation with Ekta is fantastic. I will definitely be working with her in 2013.
How do you look back on your relationship with your ex-boyfriend Eijaz (Khan)? Are you both in touch? No, we are not. We are two people not made for each other.
