The Red Ribbon Express, an exhibition train on HIV AIDS, will halt at Jalandhar railway station for two days from December 25. District health authorities have planned several awareness campaigns to encourage people to come and see the train.
District health officer Dr Ashwani Sondhi said that preparations had been made as the department had arranged buses to ferry students of government senior secondary schools to the train exhibition.

The train has four exhibition coaches with exhibits on HIV/AIDS and the National Rural Health Mission. The fifth coach is being used to providing training to the people where about 60-people can be accommodated. Training sessions would be held even with stakeholders including Asha workers, ANMs, Nehru Youth Kendra workers, self-help groups and other health workers.

To provide training to the people, special teams of volunteers including doctors, NSS officials and NGOs will be present.
