Manpreet said the SAD leadership wanted to weaken his party and was threatening the PPP leaders. He said SAD ministers are not ready to face truth. He condemned the use of unparliamentary language by information and public relations minister Bikram Singh Majithia in assembly.
"People of the state are fed up with SAD-BJP rule and they now feel that they made a wrong choice by voting SAD back to power. The state government has failed on all fronts, especially law and order," he said.
He alleged that the state's economy was in a shambles due to wrong policies of the SAD-BJP government.
The PPP president said the cable, sand and transport mafias were active in the state and it was the duty of the chief minister to rein in their activities.
"PPP was launched with an ideology and we have tried to stick to that. Hopefully, we will succeed in touching the consciousness of people in the coming days," he said.
Addressing the party workers, Manpreet said: "In the coming years, people of the state will understand the dirty gimmicks being played by the present government. Common man is a big loser. Public exchequer is being misused and corruption is at its peak."
