“When she was brought in, her large and small intestines were hanging out. She is on the ventilator,” said Dr Narendra Sharma, who runs the ICU at Gurunanak Hospital.
“She in a life-threatening situation. We have already pumped in 10 bottles of blood in her body. We have asked for more blood and platelets.”
“She was operated upon for five to six hours by general and orthopedic surgeons. She had two stab injuries on her small intestine, and in the abdomen area. A vein, tendons and nerves on her hands had been cut,” said Dr RS Gulati, medical director, Gurunanak Hospital.
Banka, died around two hours after he was brought to the hospital.
“He had three stab wounds and his left wrist had been slashed,” said Dr Rajesh Dere, associate professor, forensic medicine, Sion Hospital.
