The police here arrested a 24-year-old man, Johny, on the charges of having raped a woman repeatedly since April. Three others, including two women, have been booked for having helped the main accused.
The 23-year-old victim from Pingli village filed a complaint on Saturday against the four accused, all of whom are residents of Shiv Colony; and Johny was arrested on Saturday night from his house. 

In another case, 55-year-old Sahib Singh was arrested on Saturday for alleged attempt to rape a Dalit woman in Dachar village.

While Johny was handed to the police on a day's remand for interrogation, Sahib Singh has been sent in judicial custody.
