Sarwar was not allowed into the stadium by the police for more than half an hour despite requests from the BCCI and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) representatives. The PCB official, to his immense credit, brushed the issue aside, saying such things do happen.
Interestingly, the pitch on the ground is heavily barricaded, with several policemen standing guard. "We know the security is really stringent, but these are the instructions from the Intelligence Bureau… We really can't do anything about it," said a KSCA official.
The bus ferrying the Pakistan team has completely whitened windows, from which the players can see through, not anyone from outside could see inside.
"It's not a problem with us. Security arrangements are part and parcel of international tours. We just want to focus on the game rather than be worrying about anything else," said Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez.
Just imagine how it's going to be on match days?
