In a statement here in the backdrop of the assault on AIG SS Mand in Ludhiana, Sukhbir said there were now clear instructions for no compromise on the rule of law or maintenance of law and order.
"In the past nearly six months, there have been three to four "high-profile violations of law and order, and in each case, we have dealt with it with an iron hand. Be it the Faridkot abduction case or the Amritsar ASI murder case, the police have acted with exemplary speed and all the accused have been booked, arrested and brought to face the law of the land," the deputy chief minister said.
"Unlike the Congress and its clean-chit culture to crime", the Akali BJP regime carried the law book, Sukhbir said. He challenged his opponents to name even one case in which the accused had been allowed to go scot-free.
