A man has been arrested from the outskirts of Jammu for allegedly raping his 13-year-old cousin, police said on Tuesday.
Mukesh Kumar alias Monu was arrested from Jammu general bus stand as he landed in the city from Ludhiana in Punjab Monday night, police said. The victim's father had lodged a complaint on December 17 that his minor daughter had been raped by her cousin on December 12, they said.

The victim's medical examination was conducted and her statement was recorded before the judicial magistrate.

Special police teams were constituted by SDPO Domana, Sandeep Mehta to apprehend the accused, who had taken shelter in Ludhiana, they said.

Kumar was nabbed when he came here and taken into custody for further investigation, they said.
