From being scared by Imam Siddiqui’s antics on reality show Bigg Boss 6 to being wooed by Santosh Shukla to even getting overtly friendly with Sana Khan, Aashka Goradia, who recently got evicted from the show, has been in the news all along. If that wasn’t giving her enough attention, there were even rumours that her boyfriend of five years, Rohit Bakshi, has broken up with her.

And when Rohit Bakshi didn’t turn up to meet Aashka Goradia or send her a message while she was on Bigg Boss, the speculations got stronger. Sources claimed that Rohit Bakshi was upset with Aashka’s proximity with Sana Khan and their intimacy on the show.

Rohit, who has been busy promoting his film Dehraadun Diary, kept mum about the rumours while Aashka was in the house. Now, after her eviction, Rohit clarifies saying, “Aashka and I are together; the rumours of the split are false. In fact, I had gone to pick her up and drop her off. As for what happened in the house, I have known Aashka long enough not to be bothered by these things. I’m mature enough to know that things were edited and shown on TV. However, it’s sad that she didn’t win because she deserved to.” The couple even started a business together recently.

Talking about his film, which is supposedly inspired by the Nitish Katara murder case, he says, “It is based on a real-life story, but I can’t reveal which one. I am excited about my role. Though I started my career with television, I want to balance both mediums.”
