District transport officer Tejinder Singh Dhaliwal said such workshops and camps helped raise awareness about road safety. He appealed to motorists to follow traffic rules.
All drivers, conductors and office-bearers of Pepsu Road Transport Corporation attended the workshop. Addressing the gathering, Dhaliwal said most road accidents were the result of human errors. "These can be avoided if people follow traffic rules," he said, adding that people without a driving licence should not drive.
Deputy superintendent of police (traffic) Nahar Singh, meanwhile, threw light upon Road Safety Week. He asked bus drivers and other participants to follow traffic rules in letter and spirit.
