A Zee News editor was questioned by the Delhi Police on Saturday, a day after he interviewed the friend of the 23-year-old woman who was gangraped aboard a moving bus on December 16.

Sudhir Chaudhary, currently on bail after being arrested for his alleged role in a bid to extort Rs. 100 crore from Congress MP Naveen Jindal, was questioned at the Vasant Vihar police station for a little over an hour.

"A case under section 228 of the IPC was filed against him yesterday and he was called for questioning on Saturday evening," said an officer.

On Friday evening, Chaudhary, on his channel, had interviewed the friend of the gangrape victim who alleged having being at the receiving end of police and state apathy ever since the gruesome case had been reported.

"I was just going my job. As a member of the media fraternity of this country, it is my job to ensure that the truth is reported," Chaudhary told reporters.
