Expressing willingness to participate in a documentary on traffic awareness, actor Amitabh Bachchan donated Rs11 lakh towards the traffic police fund on Monday.

Speaking at the Thane police function, Bachchan said: "It would be my pleasure to help the traffic department in any way. I am ready to lend my voice or work in the short films produced by the department to create awareness on traffic rules."

Commenting on the Delhi gangrape incident, he said: "The incident has been very unfortunate. We need to treat women with more respect."
