RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani while addressing the gathering pledged investment to the tune of Rs. 1 lakh crore in next three years.
He also announced that RIL in partnership with Gujarat government will develop Gandhinagar based Pandit Dindayal Petroleum University as a world class global university with investment of Rs. 500 crore.
The speakers including Hodrej, Anand Mahindra, Anil Ambani, Gautam Adani and foreign diplomats praised the entrepreneurial spirit of Gujarati community and leadership of Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who waste entry elected for the third time in the assembly polls in December 2012.
Several conferences and seminars on various themes will be held during the two-day summit while thousands of MoUs pledging investments will be inked between the Gujarat government and private industry players.
This time, the focus of the summit is on innovation, knowledge sharing partnership and sustainable development in addition to industrial investments that also create employment opportunities in the state.
