A minor victim of gangrape was found unconscious in a field by the main road here.
The victim (15) is in Class 10 at the government school of Dalel Singh Wala village, 12 kilometres from here, where one of the two suspects reads in Class 12. As bus ran late, the girl accepted the teenager's offer of ride, but he drove her to an unfamiliar place, where an older man and he raped her.

Suspects Noni Singh (19) of Moolewala village and Balbir Khan (23) of Dalel Singh Wala village are under arrest and charged with rape and kidnapping. The victim's medical examination in the Mansa Civil Hospital confirmed rape.

A year ago, the girl's family had moved to Mansa from a village near the government high school of Dalel Singh Wala. "The place where she was raped is more than 7 kilometers from the school," said station house officer Boota Singh. "We recovered her unconscious from bushes in a field on the road between Dalel Singh Wala and Khyala and moved her to the Mansa Civil Hospital."

A grown-up man from Thoothianwali village near here is under arrest on a charge of abusing a boy (8) sexually and threatening to kill him.

"The victim is a student in Class 4, while the suspect, Bittu Singh (20), is illiterate and a vagabond," said station house officer Boota Singh. "The morning after the crime on Wednesday, the boy told his parents about it."
