Allahabad, January 12, 2013
In the e-age, connecting with divinity for many has been hi-tech - courtesy fancy gadgets and the ubiquitous television - for some time. The Kumbh too has caught up.

Now, one can track the biggest congregation on earth while on the move through smart Kumbh-2013 dedicated mobile apps.

Both free and paid, these apps promise to make the fair all more interesting for those present as well as others who cannot make it, but wish to remain connected.

With just two days to go for the formal start of the 55-day fair, these apps are being downloaded in large numbers.

The 'Maha Kumbh Mela' app from Mappso, free and tailor-made for android sets, not only provides the history and origin of the fair, but also gives a peek into the ashrams and the rituals among other information. It is available for download on Google Play.

Similarly, Top Notch Developers have come out with a free 'Maha Kumbh Mela 2013' app that can be downloaded from CNET Download.com.

Among the paid apps is 'Kumbh Mela 2013 festival guide'.

IT expert KK Bhutani said, "At a time when millions are coming to Allahabad from all over the world, such apps become all the more vital and relevant."
