Harassed and threatened by a stalker for nearly a year, a 20-year-old woman in Rajasthan allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison.

Doctors found a note wrapped in her clothes. "She named Hajari Meena, 23, as the stalker in her suicide note," said a police officer investigating the case.

Meena, a daily wage labourer, allegedly harassed and threatened her with dire consequences for resisting his advances.

The police have booked the accused on charges of harassment and abetment of suicide. He has been remanded to two days police custody.
