"I was informed by the beat in-charge that some people were following a Sambar in Pammna village. When I reached the spot, I noticed that the bullet-ridden body of the animal was lying in fields owned by Jeet Singh."
Inquires revealed that the deer was killed by Jagjeet Singh and Jaswinder Singh, he added.The police have booked both the accused under different sections of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and Arms Act, 1959.
