In what seems like yet another superstitious move, producer Ekta Kapoor has decided to mark the beginning of Ragini MMS 2’s first shooting schedule with a visit to the famous Siddhivinayak Temple. But this time, she will be accompanied by the film’s leading lady. Ekta has arranged for adult-film-star-turned-Bollywood actor Sunny Leone to perform a special ritual and aarti at the temple on Tuesday.

Sunny will perform the Kakad aarti at Siddhivinayak on the day the shooting begins, informs an insider close to the development.

This will be Sunny’s first visit to the temple, where she will pray for the hassle-free completion of the shoot and the film’s eventual box-office success.She will visit the temple with Ekta and the film’s director, Bhushan Patel, at around 5 am on Tuesday, which is a day after Sankranti. It is considered an auspicious date as per the Hindu calendar, adds the insider.

While Sunny couldn’t be reached for a comment, Ekta confirms the news, saying, Since it’s a horror film, the idea is to start the shoot on an auspicious note. Even with Ragini MMS (2011), the Hanuman Chalisa was played aloud in all theatres before the screening began.

The producer adds, It’s also a special day because, for many of us, the New Year starts on that day (as per the Hindu calendar). After the aarti, Sunny will change
and reach the location to start the shoot. Ragini MMS 2 is a sequel to the 2011 horror film.
