The girl, a BSc first-year student, was on her way to college when a co-passenger groped her. She protested, but when he did not stop, she slapped the offender. And the driver and his colleague then turned on her for creating a scene.
But the matter did not end there. The girl went to her college and submitted a written complaint to her college principal, who then took up the matter with the Gurgaon Police.
But a police case is yet to be registered as the consent of the girl’s father — who is currently out of town and is expected to be back on Wednesday — is required for that. The girl was too shocked to file a formal complaint.
DCP (west) of Gurgaon Police Surinder Pal said, “I am not aware of any such incident. But immediate action will be taken against the culprit once we receive a complaint.”
