Talking to Hindustan Times, Tarsem Kaur, headmistress of Government Primary School, Gobind Nagar, said, "The radio programme proved very beneficial for students last year. After listening to the radio for half-an-hour students improved significantly. This year too we can use it to enhance the knowledge of students."
Baljinder Singh, incharge of Government Primary School, Sarih, said, "Listening to radio programmes helps students immensely. It also enhances their general knowledge."The timings set for the students for the radio programme are 2.30 pm to 2.50 pm and it can be heard through regional channel FM Jalandhar; FM Rainbow Station, Jalandhar; local radio station, Bathinda; local radio station, Patiala; and Vividh Bharati, All India Radio.
The programme was started in 2008 under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
