A fresh investigation will be carried out to ascertain the death of Delhi Police constable Subhash Tomar during the recent protests at India Gate against the December 16 gang rape, crime branch sleuths told the Delhi high court on Tuesday.
“The government of Delhi has constituted a medical board consisting of three doctors of the Maulana Azad Medical College to ascertain the exact cause of Tomar’s death,”  DCP (Crime Branch) SBS Tyagi said in an affidavit filed before justice GP Mittal.

According to the eyewitnesses and RML hospital, there were no injuries on Tomar’s body and he had collapsed after suffering a heart attack. But the post-mortem report said he died of a cardiac arrest caused by injuries he suffered on his chest and neck “produced by blunt impact”.
