Harpreet Sandhu, counsel for complainant Kashmira Singh Gill the deceased DSP's father and public prosecutor SS Gill had argued during the previous court hearing that this case happened to be one of the most heinous crimes ever committed in the state wherein a well-decorated police officer was brutally murdered.
Sandhu said the court had done justice by framing charges against the accused as per circumstantial evidence and the chain of events proved by the prosecution that a criminal conspiracy had been hatched by the accused. The court has fixed the next date of hearing on January 29.
The complainant's counsel had sought framing of charges under sections 302 (murder), 379 (theft), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 404 (dishonest misappropriation of property), 471 (forgery) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
