However, this year Kangna might not be the only star representing Mumbai Heroes. The co-owners are planning to rope in two more Bollywood leading ladies as brand ambassadors because some of them have expressed their interest to be associated with the team. “We will be announcing a couple of more names in the coming future. We may have two more ladies as there are some who want to come on board,” says Vikas.
Meanwhile, Sohail, who was reportedly not playing this season, seems to have changed his mind. “He is back in the team and has started practicing for the league,” reveals a source.
There has also been a reshuffle in the team (Mumbai Heroes) this year as actor Riteish Deshmukh, who was the vice-captain last year, has now formed his own team, Veer Marathi. His team includes Bobby Deol, Aftab Shivdasani and Sonu Sood among others.
Instead of six teams, the third season of the CCL will see eight teams competing for the trophy. Apart from Mumbai Heroes and Veer Marathi, the others are Chennai Rhinos, Kerala Strikers, Telugu Warriors, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Karnataka Bulldozers and Bengal Tigers.
