Bradley Cooper has denied rumours that he is dating Jennifer Lawrence, insisting he could literally be her father. The pair formed a close bond after working together on Silver Linings Playbook and upcoming movie Serena, sparking rumours they could be an item. Romance speculation was fuelled after Cooper split from his girlfriend Zoe Saldana earlier this month, and on Friday it was reported that Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have ended their two-year relationship.

Cooper was quizzed on his chemistry with 22-year-year Lawrence when he attended the Golden Globes recently.

The stars arrived on the red carpet separately and the 38-year-old hunk was quick to dismiss the speculation, insisting they are just good friends.

We've done two movies together, he told ET Online. If it didn't happen by now, it's not going to happen.

I concur, Lawrence said.

I could literally be her father, Cooper smilingly added.
