Reacting sharply to the judgment of a CBI court in Delhi, in which it convicted former chief minister Om Prakash Chautala and others, the INLD state president Ashok Arora and Chautala's son Abhey Chautala on Wednesday said that it was once again proven that the CBI was a puppet in the hands of the Congress.

The INLD leaders said that the Congress had earlier 'misused' the CBI against its political rivals, including Mayawati, Mulayam Singh, Jayalalitha, Chandrababu Naidu and Laloo Prasad Yadav.

Maintaining that all the INLD leaders were innocent, they further said that the people of the state knew that they had done nothing wrong and the INLD would soon expose the Congress.

They held that the INLD would challenge the CBI court's verdict. "The people of Haryana know well how the Congress government has been selling government jobs and land to the relatives of Congress high command," Arora alleged.

They further said that it was in the wake of the increasing popularity of INLD that the Congress got frustrated and had stooped too low by implicating the INLD leaders in false cases. "The INLD would continue its war against corrupt practices of the Congress. The Hooda government has not received a single complaint of any wrongdoing in job recruitment during the previous INLD rule. However, there are numerous complaints of this nature against he congress leaders," the INLD leaders said.
