“RTO offices have taken action against a few taxis and autos, but it was not a full-fledged drive,” said an RTO official.
Another senior RTO official said they have planned to launch a big drive after a few days, because many drivers in the city have been unable to replace their mechanical meters owing to shortage of e-meters in the market.
Meanwhile, the rush for recalibration continued on Wednesday, sources said.
Taxi union leader AL Quadros said that all taxi meters would be recalibrated in the next three to four days.
