A week after a 25-year-old woman approached the Delhi Police and alleged that she was abducted from Jaipur, drugged and raped in a moving car by four people, the Delhi police have transferred the case to the Rajasthan police.    The Lajpat Nagar police had registered a 'Zero FIR' on the basis of the complaint filed by the woman, who hails from Jaipur. The woman in her complaint had alleged that the accused had dumped her in an unconscious state in Lajpat Nagar, after taking turns to rape her in the moving vehicle.

Sources in the Delhi police said that even though the case had been transferred to the Rajasthan police, the preliminary investigation by Delhi police has revealed that the complainant herself is a 'habitual offender'. There are eight criminal cases against her, which were registered at different police stations in Rajasthan.

One of the abductors, Jagram, who was named by the woman in the FIR, too has a criminal history with several cases registered against him. He is absconding ever since he was accused of abducting and raping the complainant, said a police officer.  "Prima facie it seems that the woman has involved Jagram in a false case," the officer added.
