Salman Khan wants the film fraternity to get charitable. “People (others in the industry) say, ‘He’s involved in Being Human, which is why audiences watch his films.' I want to say to them, why don’t you guys start a trust? If we compete in this field, there would be nothing better. Everyone should open a charitable trust and help people. Im sure many do it, but I want everyone to take it to a different level.

Salman Khan announced the launched of the Being Human store in Mumbai yesterday.

The star was accompanied by brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, sisters Arpita and Alvira and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. Explaining the delay in the store’s launch, Salman says, “This store was supposed to open a while ago, but was delayed due to permissions. Now it’s all clear.” 

Talking about helping people he says, “If you want to reach out to Being Human, you are more than welcome, but more than that, help people around you. Don’t give money where you don’t know how it’s used — be it a charity or for religious purposes. Most people do it out of guilt or to show off. I do it (charity) because I hope tomorrow, when I need it, someone will help me. But I want to say there is no daanpeti (donation box) for Being Human, so don’t get conned if you see one,” he says.
