Police have booked two married men for raping a Class 8 student of Baliyana village under Sampla police station here on Friday. The accused have been identified as Sunil Kumar and Surgen Kumar, both residents of the same village.  The victim's family in their complaint told police that finding the victim alone in agriculture fields, the duo raped her a fortnight ago.

The accused threatened the victim of dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

The victim remained tight-lipped since then, but when the accused again tried to commit the crime on Friday, when she had gone to agriculture fields, she stopped them and ran away home.

She narrated the incident to her parents, who reported the matter to Sampla police station.

Meanwhile, accused fled from the village. Police booked the youths under rape charges and criminal intimidation and performed medical examination of victim.

No arrests have been made till filing of this report.
