As part of the exercise to prepare the state budget for next fiscal year 2013-14, deputy chief minister-cum-finance minister Sushil Kumar Modi will be holding discussions with representatives from trade, business, health, transport sector and also intellectuals to take their views on different aspects before outlining the financial document.

The state budget will be presented in the state assembly on February 21 during the budget session of the legislature, which will commence from February 18.

The pre-budget discussions will start from January 21, when Modi would be holding talks with doctors and institutions working in the health sector followed by another meeting slated on January 31st with economists and intellectuals.

On February 1, pre-budget meeting will be held with women organisations followed by another meeting on February 4 with representatives from business, trade and transport sector.

Feedback from agriculturists would also be taken by the finance minister, who has been convening pre-budget meetings on the pattern of the Centre for the last six years.
