But that doesn’t mean that the Cocktail (2012) star is shying away from the genre. “I will surely do another film on armed forces in an action-thriller format. But it won’t be Agent Vinod 2. My producer partner (Dinesh Vijan) though feels I shouldn’t do it right now. So I am taking a break,” says the actor.
Saif Ali Khan, whose next release is going to be Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2, believes that this film has turned out better than part one. “Unlike the first part, this one has better action and glamour. It has a U/A certificate, so you can watch it with your mother and sister. It is a universal thriller film,” he says.
At the moment, Saif is busy shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullet Raja. “Tigmanshu is a sorted director. And I love to get into a space where you look rustic, wear not-so-expensive clothes and still create some sort of style statement. Plus, it’s macho, hard-hitting kind of cinema, which I have always been very fond of,” he says. He rubbishes rumours, however, that his character will be similar to his Langda Tyagi in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara (2006).
