Police have booked a woman owner of a marriage bureau and her alleged accomplice from Hisar after the mother of a 17-year-old girl complained that the accused drugged the teenager and got her raped from the co-accused.
The girl allegedly fled from the clutches of the accused and informed her mother about her ordeal at the hands of one Mamta and her co-accused Raj Kumar of Hisar.

The complainant, a resident of Patiala, said that her daughter met Mamta while on way to Ludhiana by bus to meet her cousin living in Daba area on January 15. Mamta offered to help her daughter and took her to her home at Sanjay Gandhi colony. Thereafter, Mamta allegedly offered the teenager tea laced with sedatives and whisked her away to Hisar.

The mother said her daughter told her that after she gained consciousness, she found herself at the house of Raj Kumar. The teenager was told that she had been married to Raj Kumar and that she had to live with him for the rest of her life.

The accused later took her to Ludhiana to get their marriage registered at mini-secretariat from where the girl fled.

ASI Harbhajan Singh of police division number 8 said that police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
